The rainbow is a natural spectacle of lights and colors that always leaves you speechless and embodies a positive meaning of bridge and passage.
From a scientific point of view it is the result of the refraction of the sun's rays on the droplets of water that remain suspended in the atmosphere. The colors, which appear bright, are not separated from each other but constitute a chromatic continuum.

Each color carries within it a rich symbolism ranging from vitality to creativity, from balance to love, from calm to inspiration and benevolence.
For the Greeks the rainbow was the personification of the goddess Iris, messenger of the gods for mortals. For the Navajo it represented the link between two worlds, the material and the spiritual, and therefore the openness to change and their own growth.
Its half-moon shape and beam of colored light suggested to the Celts femininity and fertility, new Life and longevity.

In this period of pandemic we have often seen rainbows hanging from the windows as a reminder of the hope of a transition from a thunderstorm and   dark    moment to a new and clearer sky.
It will be up to us to create a different world that will allow us to appreciate the here and now and the little things, just like that beam of light that we savor for a moment but that always leaves us in wonder.
